It’s time for a change, a new breath of fresh air. Or maybe you have just outgrown your space and you just can’t ignore it anymore. Grandma shouldn’t be camping out in the living room. For your personal sanity, your three kids shouldn't be sharing a room.  And you should use your garage for your car, not an extra living space or a reenactment of hoarders. So if the thought of putting it up for sale gets you in a panic, follow these steps to get your home in listing shape.

  1. First and foremost get a  realtor. For Sale By Owner or FISBO accounted for 7% of home sales in 2017. AND if you sell your home by yourself you have to consider marketing and only 49% of FISBO did any active marketing. How well do you think they did? That means they were

Spring has finally sprung and you know it’s been a long winter when the sun hurts your eyes and you find your dog searching for beach vacations. This is also the time of the year we do spring cleaning. I know for many including myself cleaning is a four letter word. Have you named your dust bunnies and are seriously considering claiming them on your taxes as dependants? Have no fear, I have 10 quick and easy spring cleaning tips. Let the procrastinators in all of us rejoice.

  1. Go through your medicine cabinet and clear out any old or expired medications you don’t need. Medications like opioids, i.e. prescription pain medication you will need to dispose of properly. Most hospitals have programs to dispose of these medications, just call and ask.

You got your approval letter from the bank, down payment is burning a hole at said bank and you have your checklist for your dream home.  Now comes the fun part or at least it should be fun...home touring. While you tour home after home and things start becoming a blurr...what are things you should look out for… what are red flags? Don’t ever, ever pay attention to the decor! That poop brown in the living room can be painted, 1970 counters can be updated, and the immensely stained carpet can be changed...those are easy fixes and maybe even concessions when you negotiate the purchase.

So what could be a bigger issue?

  1. Is there damp? Notice if there is a moldy smell, flaky plaster, and any watermarks.

  2. How much storage is there?

The main thing I LOVE about the Woodward Corridor is that is it usually a hop skip and a jump to many other cool, interesting neighborhoods, events, and happenings. Today's trip is taking us to Detroit...I hope you have your permission slips signed, cause we are checking out…

Detroit Vegan soul started out in February 2012, as a catering and meal delivery service company. With a mission to:

“help people live healthier lives by providing great-tasting, high-quality, nutritious vegan food that appeals to everyone, while at the same time doing our part to support a sustainable earth.”

With two great locations about thirty minutes from each other and about thirty minutes each way from Woodward Corridor, it’s your choice to pick where you hang. I

Drum roll, please…

The 2019 Pantone Color of the year is…

                          .Living Coral

Why on God’s green earth should you care? Well, my friend, it is going to be everywhere from retail to home decor, to your toothbrush. So let’s get acquainted…

Pantone describes it as:

“An animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge.”

They also go on to describe how our lives are pretty messed up with technology a shifting environment and this color will enable connection, intimacy and authentic immersive experience ( I am paraphrasing).

I do believe that color can affect your mood...but calm down.

So, how can we incorporate this color

Homeownership, the ultimate American Dream. It's American like apple pie. One of the first things Uncle Joe asks when you become an adult (whenever that is). But thinking about buying a home can be overwhelming, to the point you grab your favorite snacks wrap up in a blanket and binge on Netflix till the junk food runs out and you can’t feel your legs.  So before you even start jumping into looking into homes what are three things you need to consider?

First and foremost-buy a home because you want to. Not because your Mom is guilt tripping you into or because all of your friends are doing or because you almost 40 and still renting.  Do it because this is something you want and are able to handle. Yes, real estate can be a great investment but it

Hello, my name is Natalie and love helping people. A lot.  I am compassionate by nature, the friend everyone calls at three in the morning. The friend they tell the most TMI  too. (Like seriously I really don’t need to know that. And no I don’t want to see it either.). So becoming a registered nurse was the only logical step for me. In fact, I have eighteen years of experience in the medical profession.  WOW, time flies and I have enjoyed every gritty, heartbreaking, joyful, tearful, ecstatic, stressful, learning and happy moment that, that profession provided. There is nothing like being given the honor of being part of someone's worst experience and helping them along the way to better health.

But wait...how does real estate come in?
