January 23-25, 2015

Join us in downtown Rochester for the 8th annual Fire & Ice Festival. This celebration of winter, set for Jan. 23-25, is one of the best winter events in Michigan. Activities include dog sled rides, a tube sledding hill, ice skating, a figure skating demonstration, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, ice carvings, marshmallow roasting, and a taste fest/beer tent. There is no charge for any of the winter activities.

Face painting is also available for the little ones or not so little. The Big, Bright Light Show lights up downtown each night in a beautiful spectrum of colors. A spectacular firework show lights up the night skies Friday and Saturday and the second annual running of The Brooksie Way “Chill at the Mills” 5k race takes place Sunday morning. The Oakland County Pet Adoption Center will offer pets for adoption during the festival. More information is available at downtownrochestermi.com. Fire & Ice is sponsored by Oakland County Parks, Oakland County and downtown Rochester.
